There’s a reason the 1960s are– even in the 21st century– a source of fashion inspiration. Hint: that reason is because the swinging ’60s were iconic in every sense of the word; skirts were ulta-mini, Twiggy introduced us to lashes for days, and women were really beginning to embrace pants. It seemed that every fashion rule was being broken left and right.
I’m currently living for mod style (let’s face it, I’ve always been a fan of a mini skirt), so as a sorry-I-haven’t-blogged-in-so-long-you-probably-thought-I-was-dead gift, I created a little style guide to help you channel your inner flower child.
The Twiggy
Is there anything that says 1960s more than a boldly patterned minidress with a Peter Pan collar?
Bright Beret
While the pants are a bit more ’70s, the beret is 100% mod style.
The British Invasion
Take a leaf from across the pond and mix your tweeds for a jazzy spin on the British classic.
So… which look will you be rocking?
Omg that coat is AMAZING. (Also that video is adorable #blogginggoals)
